I then began working on lyrics and chord progressions that would accompany the intro. I believe I had the title of the song "This Ring" before I had written any of the other lyrics. The song began to take shape when I wrote the chorus lyrics "In my life, I can see I performed This Ring to my lovely bride on June 1st, It was a beautiful outdoor wedding that took place on property that my grandparents owned. It was a very emotional moment for us. It was a beautiful day with our family and friends and little did I know the impact that the song would make in the years to come.

Fast forward to I had not played my guitar in almost 3 years. I decided to sit on the porch one day and play a little when my wife, Carrie, asked me to play our wedding song. Reluctantly I obliged. Afterwards, she told me that I should record the song and that other people may want to use it for their wedding day. After months of consideration, I did a home recording of This Ring and sent it to a Nashville studio producer and recording engineer.

When I came back a couple of weeks later I was stunned to hear the polished and professional version that the studio did with my song. With a single wedding song in hand, I was excited to see the opportunites that would come if I could find a way to market my product.

Within another few months I had built a tiny website and was selling single copies of This Ring that I would burn from my home computer. To my surprise, sales started to skyrocket and I was sending copies of This Ring all over the world. It was at this time I realized that I was on to something and that I had better write more wedding songs. I began researching they types of music and most requested music for wedding ceremonies.
